Lockheed Martin Australia has been selected as the strategic partner for Australia's Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS), a crucial component of the nation's Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) capability.

This multi-million-dollar initiative, announced recently, is set to redefine the way the Australian Defence Force manages its air battle operations.

The project aims to fulfill the mandate outlined in the Defence Strategic Review to swiftly deliver an integrated air and missile defence operational capability. This initiative is in line with Australia's commitment to strengthening its national defense.

The JABMS system will have the capability to efficiently integrate data from diverse sources, thereby enhancing real-time decision-making. Furthermore, in conjunction with advanced sensors provided by CEA Technologies as part of AIR6500 Tranche One, the JABMS will lay the groundwork for future IAMD investments.

Wing Commander Melville acknowledged the contributions of Northrop Grumman Australia, Boeing Defence Australia, and Raytheon Australia, stating that their expertise and collaborative engagement were pivotal during the competitive evaluation process. The Industry Advisory Team, consisting of these partners, plays a vital role in the ongoing success of the IAMD program.
