U.A.E.'s EDGE Group Acquires Majority Share in Autonomous Air Systems Developer Swiss ANAVIA

U.A.E.'s EDGE Group has officially announced the acquisition of a 52% majority shareholding in Switzerland-based ANAVIA.

ANAVIA specializes in the creation, advancement, and production of adaptable vertical take-off & landing (VTOL) systems that can support weights of up to 750 kilograms, complete with their corresponding functionalities. The company is also known for its unmanned helicopters, tailored for a multitude of mission profiles, including surveillance and reconnaissance, inspection, mapping, and cargo transport. These platforms can be integrated into EDGE's comprehensive portfolio of air, land, and maritime capabilities.

ANAVIA has a proficient team of professionals in the autonomous aircraft field, covering a wide range of expertise including composite materials, mechatronics, aircraft maintenance, flight testing, and software engineering.

EDGE Group plans to showcase ANAVIA's VTOL solutions during the upcoming Dubai Airshow 2023, scheduled to take place from November 13th to 17th.
