The Finnish Defence Forces have opted to acquire an additional 40 Patria 6x6 armored vehicles, utilizing the supplementary purchase option embedded in the agreement inked with Patria in June 2023.

The initial pact involved the procurement of 91 vehicles, and the appended option allowed for an additional purchase of up to 70 units.

Currently, the delivery process is in progress, marking a significant development in the ongoing multinational Common Armored Vehicle System (CAVS) initiative. Finland, along with Latvia, Sweden, and Germany, is actively participating in the program. The collaborative effort has witnessed efficient progress, with deliveries already commenced in Sweden in 2023, following Latvia's initiation in 2021.

The initial batch of vehicles has been allocated to the Pori brigade, where conscript vehicle operation training is set to commence in early 2024.
