Austria Orders $1.3B Worth of PANDUR EVO Armored Vehicles

General Dynamics European Land Systems - Steyr (GDELS) has been awarded a $1.3 billion contract to manufacture 225 PANDUR 6x6 EVO wheeled armored vehicles for the Austrian Armed Forces.

This contract supplements the existing agreement for 100 PANDUR EVO vehicles, with the third batch currently undergoing production and delivery.

The contract includes the delivery of personnel carriers and conversion kits for medical, command & control missions, along with eight new vehicle variants, such as those equipped with a 120 mm mortar combat system, mobile air defense, and electronic warfare variants.

Manufactured at GDELS’ Steyr facility in Vienna Simmering, the PANDUR EVO 6x6 has been in service with the Austrian Armed Forces since 1996, and around 850 PANDUR vehicles in 6x6 and 8x8 configurations are currently operational worldwide.
