Russia Attacks Ukrainian Energy Infrastructure in Retaliatory Strikes
Russian attack on Ukraine's energy sector on April 11, 2024 @

Russia has delivered a significant blow to Ukraine's energy sector in response to alleged attempts by Kyiv to sabotage Russian oil and gas facilities.

The Russian armed forces used long-range precision weapons and drones to conduct large-scale attacks.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the destruction of all specified targets and declared the mission a success. It emphasized that the strike disrupted Ukraine's military industry enterprises and impeded the transportation of reserves to combat zones. Additionally, it reportedly complicated fuel supplies to units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, footage emerged showing a fire at the Trypillya thermal power plant in the Kyiv region.
