The C-130J-30, designed for various air transport missions, features glass cockpit technology and a Rolls Royce AR2100D3 Turboprop engine with a top speed of 410 MPH or 356 KTAS.

Key improvements in the C-130J Super Hercules include enhanced fuel protection and cargo handling systems, a more sophisticated flight station system, and a fully integrated digital avionics system. The aircraft is also equipped with a head-up display, advanced navigation with a dual inertial navigation system and GPS, enhancing its capabilities for Indonesia's defense requirements.
