QinetiQ and RENK Group AG have partnered to jointly develop mobility solutions, focusing on hybridization and uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs) for military land platforms in the 5 to 60-ton range.

RENK Group AG will bring its expertise in gear technologies, electric drives, and power electronics. QinetiQ will provide its capabilities in autonomy and maneuverability, contributing to the development of future mobility concepts for armored vehicles.

Dr. Alexander Sagel, COO of RENK Group AG, emphasized the growing demand for hybridization and electrification in military platforms, particularly in UGVs. He noted the dynamic potential in the market for uncrewed, tracked vehicles up to 20 tons, which have various tactical applications.
