Rostec subsidiary United Aircraft Corporation has transferred a new batch of Su-57 and Su-35S fighter jets to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
These aircraft, including the fifth-generation Su-57 stealth jets, underwent a comprehensive series of factory tests before being officially accepted by the Ministry of Defense's technical staff.
The Su-57 fighters were evaluated in a variety of operational scenarios to verify their combat performance, with Ministry of Defense pilots testing their capabilities.
Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov highlighted the Su-57's low visibility, onboard defense systems, and adaptability based on operational feedback. He also noted that production capacity for the Su-57 continues to expand, with further improvements to the aircraft underway. “The (Su-57) aircraft continues to be improved based on the experience of use. The production capacity for the aircraft is being expanded,” Chemezov said.
Additional batches of Su-57 and Su-35S fighters are planned for delivery by year-end.
The world premiere of the Su-57 in export version will take place in China in the coming days, Rostec said today.
The Su-57, designed with fifth-generation features such as low radar visibility and enhanced combat capabilities, has also gained international interest, including at recent air shows in China.
