The Kalashnikov Concern announced it will debut its RPL-7 7.62mm belt-fed handheld machine gun at the IDEX-2025 international arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi, scheduled from February 17 to 21.
According to the company, the RPL-7 uses 7.62mm cartridges, including the 57-N-231 steel-core bullets and T-45 or T-45M tracers, to engage personnel and unarmored vehicles. The machine gun offers precise firing up to 800 meters and is equipped with a silencer, removable support, front handle, bullet belts, and cartridge boxes that hold up to 80 rounds.
Weighing 5.5 kg without additional attachments, the RPL-7 is designed for ambidextrous operation and supports optical and night sights as well as other modular accessories. This marks the latest innovation from Kalashnikov, following its RPL-20 5.45mm machine gun unveiled in August.
