Morocco is preparing to receive its first batch of U.S.-made AH-64E Apache helicopters in the coming months, as per reports.
Recent images circulating on social media show the AH-64E Apache helicopters painted in Royal Air Forces colors, indicating their imminent arrival.
In 2019, the U.S. approved the possible sale of 36 AH-64E Apache helicopters and related equipment to Morocco for an estimated $4.25 billion. According to Moroccan media, this delivery is part of a $1.5 billion agreement signed in 2020 between Morocco and Boeing for 24 Apache helicopters, with an option to acquire 12 additional units.
The AH-64E Apache communication, navigation, and detection systems. It is equipped with an upgraded fire control radar capable of operating in maritime environments, providing enhanced targeting capabilities. The package includes Hellfire missiles, rockets, maintenance equipment, and a training program for Moroccan personnel.
