Under the project UEC will supply critical components while the engine will be assembled in India.
"The AL-55E engine demonstrated its reliability and ease of operation during test flights. For single-engine aircraft, on which pilots will be trained, safety and ease of control are important requirements. As part of the joint program with HAL, the AL-55E engine confirmed its service life between repairs during bench tests in accordance with the technical specifications. Successful completion of the aircraft certification tests will allow us to move on to the next stage - the organization of licensed production of AL-55E engines at HAL corporation," said Mikhail Remizov, UEC Deputy General Director.
