U.S. President Donald Trump has assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he will work to locate additional Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine while emphasizing efforts toward securing a lasting peace.

According to the White House, Trump and Zelensky discussed the matter in a phone call, where the Ukrainian leader specifically requested more Patriot systems to protect civilians. Trump agreed to cooperate in finding available units, particularly from European sources.

The conversation also covered broader efforts to end the war, with Trump stating that under his leadership, a real and lasting peace could be achieved. He briefed Zelensky on his recent discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying a significant part of their conversation focused on coordinating the interests of both Russia and Ukraine.

The two leaders also touched on ceasefire possibilities, with Zelensky stating they had agreed to explore technical aspects of a partial ceasefire, including avoiding strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is set to receive a D-PICC information and coordination center for its Patriot batteries, enhancing integration with other air defense systems. The D-PICC system provides remote coordination capabilities, allowing flexible deployment in the field.

Ukraine Receives More F-16s

Ukrainian Air Force has received a new batch of F-16 fighter jets as part of international military aid, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced during a Zoom briefing, according to European Pravda. He did not disclose the number of jets or their origin but confirmed their arrival, dismissing Russian claims of shooting them down.

Denmark’s Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen previously confirmed that 12 of 19 pledged F-16s had been delivered in three stages. In February, Ukraine received a second batch from the Netherlands, which has committed to supplying 24 jets. Denmark and the Netherlands lead the coalition supporting Ukraine, overseeing pilot and technical training.

Belgium, initially providing only training and logistics, later committed to transferring 30 F-16s by 2028. However, delays in its F-35 deliveries have postponed the transfer for at least a year.
