South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace has signed a contract worth approximately $280 million with Poland’s Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. (HSW) to supply chassis components and powerpacks for the Krab 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer (SPH).

The Krab SPH is a 155mm/52-calibre tracked artillery system produced by HSW in collaboration with Hanwha.

Deliveries are scheduled to take place from 2026 to 2028.

The agreement was formalized at HSW’s headquarters in Stalowa Wola, marking a new phase in a partnership that began in 2014. The Krab, designed and manufactured in Poland, incorporates chassis technology from Hanwha and serves as a key artillery system within the Polish Armed Forces.
