The Lithuanian Navy has officially taken delivery of its new multi-role tug Lokys, nine months after the contract was signed.
The vessel was built and handed over by the Damen Shipyards Group and formally christened on Monday, May 12, at Klaipėda Cruise Ship Terminal.
The ASD Tug 3010 ICE-class vessel, named Lokys and designated H-24, is designed for operations in icy waters. At 30 meters in length, it delivers nearly 60 tonnes of bollard pull and a top speed of over 13 knots. The tug’s large working deck enables it to carry out a range of missions supporting the Lithuanian Navy and allied forces.
