Saab Partners Maxar to Improve Targeting Systems Using Geospatial Intelligence

Saab has announced a strategic partnership with Maxar Intelligence to enhance its targeting systems and C5ISR capabilities through the use of advanced geospatial intelligence.

The collaboration brings together Saab’s defence technology expertise and Maxar’s satellite-based data services to support operations across land, air, sea, cyber, and space. The goal is to develop more robust, precise, and resilient systems for military forces, especially in environments where GPS signals are degraded or unavailable.

According to Saab, this partnership will accelerate the integration of space-based intelligence into modern defense platforms, addressing the growing need for GPS-independent navigation and targeting in contested environments.

By combining Maxar’s high-resolution satellite imagery and analytics with Saab’s command, control, communications, and reconnaissance systems, the partnership aims to provide a more comprehensive and reliable picture of the battlespace.
