Turkey’s ASELSAN expanded its footprint in Southeast Asia with the official opening of its Indonesia office and the signing of five strategic cooperation agreements during INDODEFENCE 2025 in Jakarta.
The company’s participation in the regional defense exhibition highlighted a strengthened commitment to partnerships in the areas of joint development, co-production, and global supply chain integration.
During the exhibition, ASELSAN signed multiple agreements with prominent Indonesian and international defense firms, including PT LEN Industri, PT PINDAD, PT PAL, Czech CSG Group, and Excalibur Army. These agreements aim to boost technology transfer, local production, and integration of ASELSAN’s systems in Indonesian platforms.
The agreement with PT LEN Industri under Indonesia’s DEFEND ID initiative includes co-development and technology transfer in radar systems, surveillance technologies, cyber security, and command and control solutions.
ASELSAN’s teaming agreement with Excalibur Army involves the integration of its systems into the PATRIOT 4x4 armored vehicles being offered in the Indonesian market.
A separate collaboration with PT PINDAD focuses on the joint development of weapons systems, guidance solutions, and fire control technologies, supporting indigenous defense capabilities.
The agreement with PT PAL, Indonesia’s state-owned shipbuilder, outlines modernization projects and the co-development of new naval platforms.
Additionally, ASELSAN signed a cooperation deal with Czech-based CSG Group to explore joint opportunities in the Southeast Asian defense sector.
To support these initiatives and strengthen on-site engagement, ASELSAN inaugurated its new office in Jakarta. The facility is expected to act as a regional center for customized solutions, logistics support, and sustained partnerships.
