Improved BMP-3 Infantry Vehicles Delivered to Russian Army

The Russian Ministry of Defense has received a new shipment of upgraded BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles from the High-Precision Systems holding of the Rostec State Corporation.

The latest BMP-3s feature a number of enhancements aimed at improving survivability and combat performance. These include additional side screens, protective grilles, upper hemisphere defense kits, and new devices to reduce battlefield visibility. According to Rostec, the design improvements were made in response to feedback from military personnel and lessons learned from recent combat operations.

Over the past three years, dozens of modifications have been incorporated into the BMP-3's standard configuration. These include structural reinforcements and mobility upgrades that allow the vehicle to operate more effectively in varied terrain while increasing the precision and reliability of its weapons systems.

"As part of the implementation of the tasks set by the Russian Defense Minister to supply particularly popular types of weapons and equipment to the troops, a new batch of BMP-3s has been accepted. The equipment has already been sent to the troops," a military representative at the manufacturing facility said.

Production is being closely monitored by defense representatives, who are present throughout the entire manufacturing process—from the initial stages of fabrication to live-fire testing at the proving ground.

Under current contracts, BMP-3 deliveries are made monthly. High-Precision Systems has developed a flexible production and upgrade framework that allows the rapid integration of new design requests from frontline units.
