L3Harris Technologies has secured a multi-year contract from the Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF) to upgrade several C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.

The U.S.-based defense contractor will carry out avionics upgrades, engine overhauls, program depot maintenance, and additional support work. These improvements are expected to increase aircraft availability and mission effectiveness for tactical airlift, humanitarian relief, and special operations.

Work will take place at L3Harris’ aircraft maintenance and modification facility in Waco, Texas. The project will begin later this year and is scheduled to continue through 2029.

The Royal Moroccan Air Force has operated the C-130 since the 1970s, and this upgrade program is part of ongoing efforts to extend the aircraft’s service life while aligning it with evolving mission requirements.
