Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has received its first full production order under a U.S. Marine Corps contract for the ACV-30 program, valued at approximately $118 million.

The order covers a substantial number of medium caliber turrets to be manufactured at the company’s remote weapon system facility in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

The contract was awarded by Program Executive Officer Land Systems’ Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA). It follows a $51 million long-lead item purchase made in November 2024 to ensure readiness for full-rate production.

The ACV-30 is one of four variants in the Amphibious Combat Vehicle family, developed by BAE Systems. This version is equipped with Kongsberg’s MCT-30, a stabilized, remotely operated medium caliber turret. The system provides increased firepower, protection, and mission flexibility for Marine operations.

The turret is vehicle agnostic, designed to integrate additional armor and effectors such as anti-tank guided missiles.

Kongsberg’s Johnstown facility has seen recent expansion to accommodate the demand, including a dedicated turret production line. The facility also supports other U.S. programs, including the Army’s CROWS and the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS).

Initial deliveries of the ACV-30 turrets are expected soon. The contract also includes options for additional systems.
