IG Drones has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian state government of Uttar Pradesh to set up an Advanced Drone Manufacturing and R&D Facility in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor.

According to IG Drones, the new facility will focus on the mass production of the FPV Striker Drone, with an annual target of 100,000 units. Designed and developed entirely in India, the FPV Striker Drone has already completed successful trials with the Indian Army and is engineered for rapid deployment and precision targeting.

With the global drone market projected to exceed USD 55 billion by 2030, over half driven by military demand, recent conflicts from Ukraine to West Asia have shown how low-cost, high-impact FPV and kamikaze drones are transforming modern warfare.

This initiative supports the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) mission, with IG Drones committing to using zero Chinese components in its systems ensuring both technological sovereignty and national security.

IG Drones also demonstrated its combat capabilities during Operation Sindoor, where its kamikaze FPV drones were officially acknowledged by the Government of India.

The Uttar Pradesh state government will provide full support for the project, including necessary regulatory clearances and incentives, positioning the state as a key hub for defence innovation in india.
