Hanwha Aerospace signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Norway-based Akkodis Nordics on October 21 at the Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX) 2025 to jointly develop a simulator for the Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System.
The partnership marks a step in Hanwha’s effort to strengthen its cooperation with Norway’s defense sector. The simulator will be designed to meet the specific operational needs of the Norwegian Armed Forces, offering realistic and tailored training capabilities.
The Chunmoo system is a precision-guided multiple rocket launcher capable of striking key targets beyond the range of conventional artillery. It can carry two different rocket pods simultaneously, allowing it to engage multiple target types in one mission. The system has already been exported to Poland and several Middle Eastern nations.
In addition to the Akkodis partnership, Hanwha Aerospace also signed MOUs with Norwegian firms EIDEL and T&G Elektro. The agreement with EIDEL focuses on potential cooperation in mobile test control systems, while discussions with T&G Elektro involve collaboration on electrical and electronic systems.
