MKU has developed India’s first indigenous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle christened ‘TERP-II’. It will be showcasing a prototype of TERP-II at the Defexpo-2010 which is undergoing advanced testing routines at this moment. It plans to officially launch the ‘TERP-II’ by the middle of this year. The TERP II is a quick deployment and easy to operate micro UAV. It is capable for providing real time information and is ideal for covert & tactical operations as it can pick up and instantly relay information back to base with full security. TERP-II has all the industry leading features incorporated into it including optical zoom, night vision IR capabilities, encrypted data transmission, etc. In addition, it will have the following products at Defexpo:. MKU has developed Instavest, one of the most advanced ballistic over-vests in the world featuring the revolutionary 4P Quick Release System (4P QRS).The 4P QRS is a special subsystem in the Instavest which enables the immediate jettisoning of the vest from the soldiers body in a single quick action with minimum effort. Such a system is become a standard and important requirement amongst all the leading armies in the world. Bolt-free Helmet: MKU has developed a new patented manufacturing technique based on the no holes, no bolts concept. The Boltfree helmets are made using this technology to deliver helmets which offer added protection by negating the threat from secondary fragmentation resulting through these bolts. These helmets also provide more uniform protection along the whole shell because of the ’no holes’ concept. MKU has developed special modular armour solutions for Helicopters which are lightweight and can be easily integrated on to the aircraft or removed quickly from them depending on the mission requirements. This not only maximizes mission dependant payload flexibility but also provides to be a very cost effective solution as these kits can be used for other aircraft of the same type depending upon requirements.
