Several US warships operating in the Oman Sea, withdrew toward the Indian Ocean after the Iranian Navy fired missiles and launched drone at them as “warning.”

In a statement released on Friday, the Iranian Navy said that it launched warning shots using Qadir missiles and newly developed offensive drones known as the “Martyr Dana.

According to the statement, following the operation, the intruding US destroyers DDG-103 and DDG-87 departed the Oman Sea and headed toward the Indian Ocean.

The Navy added that, as a result of this operation and similar actions carried out in recent days, not only the warships operating within the George W. Bush Carrier Strike Group but also the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli, were forced to leave the Oman Sea.

US Central Command Denies Iranian claims:

Iranian forces did NOT attack or fire at U.S. Navy warships. Doing so would be a gross violation of the ceasefire. U.S. forces continue to operate freely in regional waters while fully enforcing the ongoing blockade against Iran, CentCom said in an X post.

Blockade of Iranian Ports:

U.S. forces have redirected 129 commercial vessels and disabled 6 to ensure compliance with the blockade of Iranian ports, says CentCom.
