Iran claims to have hit Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases in Israel, warning that more will follow in response to a sudden attack by Israeli warplanes on military and a petrochemical facilities in Iran early Monday.

In a statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that it started "Operation Nasr" – meaning Operation Victory – earlier in the day as a retaliatory move in response to Israeli military actions.

“This operation was carried out in response to the missile aggression by the child-killing Zionist regime (Israel) against several radar sites in three locations across Iran,” it added.

Target of the ballistic missile strike of the IRGC Aerospace Force at Israel was Ramat David air base of the Israeli Air Force which the fighter jets based there have been involved in the airstrikes at Lebanon.

While the IRGC claims the base has been successfully hit, the IDF says all missiles were shot-down by Arrow 2/3 anti-ballistic missile systems.

The IRGC emphasized that the speed of response to the Israeli army’s aggression and the extensive target bank were among the measures taken by the operating groups in the ceasefire phase.

Israeli media reported that sirens blared in wide areas, including the occupied Golan Heights, Tiberias, Safed, Nazareth, Haifa, and several other cities.

The Hebrew news outlet Israel Hayom reported that Iran fired 10 missiles at Israeli settlements in the West Bank, causing damage to three buildings.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that warning sirens were activated at the Hatzerim military base in the Gaza Strip, in Tel Aviv and its southern parts.

Israeli Defense forces statement on bombings in Iran

Dozens of Air Force fighter jets, guided by Military Intelligence, completed a short time ago an extensive strike against the strategic defense systems of the Iranian terror regime.

In recent times, defense systems were deployed in several different areas in Iran, as part of the regime's activity to restore its detection and defense capabilities that were damaged in Operation "Roar of the Lion" – the strike led to the destruction of these systems.

In Operation "Roar of the Lion," the IDF struck deeply at the defense systems of the Iranian terror regime. The completed strikes help to further deepen the Air Force's freedom of action in Iranian airspace.
