The French defense procurement agency, DGA has ordered 500 Delco combat surveillance drones made by France-based Harmattan Ai.

This new order follows on from the first 1,000 Delco combat drones, delivered in January 2026, for the Orion 2026 exercise.

Harmattan AI designs and assembles its micro-drone in France, in partnership with the French company Lynred for the supply of infrared cameras.

Weighing 1.8 kg, the combat drone has a range of over two kilometers and a flight time of 40 minutes. Equipped with optronic observation systems, this drone allows for the rapid monitoring and reconnaissance of large areas and hard-to-reach zones, day and night.

The commissioning of 5,000 Delco combat drones will be a major asset for future military operations.

The delivery of this order, which will be completed within tight deadlines for such a recent entrant in the Defense Industrial and Technological Base (DITB), is made possible by an early investment in the manufacturer's production capacity.
