At least 15 people have been killed and dozens of others injured in Kyiv and the surrounding oblast after a mass Russian missile and drone strike on the night of July 6 just 4 days after a similar attack led to 18 persons killed

Ukraine blamed the lack of Patriot interceptors for not being able to shoot down Russian ballistic missiles but said it was able to bring down 37 cruise missiles and 326 drones using electronic warfare and anti missile systems.

The enemy's missile salvo included six 3M22 Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles , 23 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, 33 Kh-101 cruise missiles, and six Kalibr cruise missiles.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that a residential building was partially destroyed between the 5th and 9th floors in the Podilskyi district of the city. Photos and videos posted to social media show part of the facade of the building caved in following a missile strike.

In total, the Ukrainian radio-technical troops recorded the launches of 68 missiles and 351 attack drones, including Shahed/Geran , Gerbera, Italmas drones and Parody-type simulator drones. The Russian army attacked from several directions, including from the Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, and Vologda regions, Novorossiysk, as well as from the occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast.
