On a night of significant damage to one another’s oil tankers and military installations, Ukraine and Russia attacked oil tankers, ports and drone assembly points on July 13-14.

Ukrainian unmanned systems struck 11 Russian ships in the waters of the Sea of Azov. This was announced by the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Special Forces, Robert "Magyar" Brovdy. Among the damaged vessels are 5 tankers, 5 dry cargo ships, and 1 tugboat.

The commander explained that the targets of Ukrainian drones are small and medium-sized tankers about 140 meters long and with a deadweight of up to 7,000 tons. According to Madyar, they are a significant component of Russia's "shadow fleet."

These tankers transport oil from Russian oil port bases through the Volga-Don Canal and through the Sea of Azov.

Russian forces struck a Ukrainian oil tanker while transiting between the ports of Chornomorsk and Odessa. According to a source speaking to TVZvezda, the vessel was used to deliver fuel and lubricants for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during overnight strikes on targets in the Odessa region, port infrastructure facilities of the state-owned enterprise "Yuzhny Commercial Sea Port" were hit. According to the ministry, these facilities were used for unloading and storing fuel and lubricants for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Seven fuel tanks were also destroyed, according to the ministry.

Russian forces destroyed a deployment site for a unit of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the village of Shchurovo in the Donetsk People's Republic. Footage of the strike was released by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The published video initially shows a powerful explosion creating a fireball, followed by a dense cloud of smoke rising over the impact area.

The FAB-3000 is a high-explosive aerial bomb weighing approximately 3,000 kg (6,600 lbs). It carries a destructive payload of about 1.2 to 1.4 tons of high explosives. Its blast can destroy anything within a short radius while its shock waves can cause varying degrees of damage in an area several kilometers from the blast center.
