Lockheed Martin awarded $142 million contract for counter-improvised explosive device by U.S

Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, was awarded on May 10 a $142,086,975 contract for Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Operational Integration Center Analytical Support Team supplement. Work is to be performed in Reston, Va. (60 percent), and Afghanistan (40 percent), with an estimated completion date of April 29, 2013. Four bids were solicited with three bids received. Research, Development and Engineering Command - Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.
