Navantia FABA systems has signed technology collaboration agreement for military vehicles

This MOU, after the agreement recently signed with Lockheed Martin, continues with the line of strategic agreements, started by Navantia. Navantia FABA systems has signed on 2nd. July, with Oto Melara Ibérica, subsidiary of Oto Melara, a Finmeccanica company, an MOU or technology collaboration agreement, for the joint production of HITFIST and HITROLE turrets, for military vehicles for Spain and other international markets. This agreement increases the possibilities of these systems in the Spanish market and also includes the promotion and marketing efforts. Navantia will be able to produce up to 70% of the HITFIST turret and 20% of the HITROLE turret. HITFIST and HITROLE are turrets for small-calibre guns, 30 mm. and 12.7 mm. respectively, property of Oto Melara, a reference technological partner, with an important amount of units installed in different platforms.
