Bombardier to display the world’s fastest turboprop aircraft at Paris Air Show 2011

The Canadian business jet manufacturer, Bombardier will display a debut aircraft, CRJ1000 NextGen regional jet at the Paris air show beginning 20 June. The aircraft has already had a sensational entry into the European market. The company will also showcase its Q400 NextGen aircraft, which is dubbed the world's fastest and most technologically advanced turboprop. The company’s website describes regional jet, CRJ1000 as “powered by two General Electric CF34-8C5 engines, it also has a maximum range of 1,691 nautical miles (3,131 km) with 100 seats filled. The CRJ1000 NextGen regional jet maintains a high commonality with the rest of the CRJ family to allow fleet operators to minimize operating costs and increase profitability.” About the Q400, the company claims that, “the Active Noise and Vibration Suppression (ANVS) system will give the Q400 NextGen aircraft passenger an even more pleasant cabin experience.” The aircraft requires a crew of 2, with 2 or 3 flight attendants and a passenger strength of 68-78. “The Q400 cockpit, the most modern of any turboprop, is fitted with a state-of-the-art avionics suite from Thales. With less weight and fewer parts, the Thales suite offers higher reliability than comparable older technology avionics,” the Bombardier believes.
