Two New General Managers Take Charge At BEL

India’s public sector unit Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has appointed two new General Managers; Veeresh D Bevinamarad, GM (HR), and Koshy Alexander, GM (Internal Audit). Bevinamarad has been with the company since 1984 when he was appointed as Deputy Engineer at Taloja (Navi Mumbai) Unit, where he was involved in the setting up of a plant for the production of glass parts for TV Tubes. He also served at BELs Delhi Marketing Centre and Mumbai Marketing Centre as in charge of Marketing (West Zone) before being transferred as Additional General Manager (Production) at the Electronic Warfare & Avionics SBU at BEL-Bangalore. He also made rich contributions to the success of many export projects and key defence projects, besides vendor development, process improvement, cost reduction, employee satisfaction and CII assessment. Koshy Alexander joined BEL-Bangalore in June 1986 as Accounts Officer and has served as Assistant Regional Manager at BEL’s New York Regional Office and Finance Head of BELs Military Radar, Naval Systems and Components Strategic Business Units, Central Finance and Ghaziabad Unit. He played a lead role in the migration to SAP FI-CO module and introduction of e-payment systems and various internal control procedures at BEL. He has also managed financial aspects of major projects such as Flycatcher Radar, Battlefield Surveillance Radar (Short-Range) and Battlefield Surveillance System.
