Selex To Export Artillery-Pointing System In Contracts Worth $15 Million

Selex ES has won a contract to export its LINAPS artillery-pointing system from armed forces in the United Arab Emirates, Poland and New Zealand, the Finmeccanica-owned company announced Wednesday.

The contracts for the gun-mounted navigation, pointing and weapon management system are worth in excess of €11 million (US $15.1 million), said Selex ES.

The New Zealand Defence Force is procuring the complete system for its L119 light gun fleet.

And the UAE is taking the core of the LINAPS system, the FIN3110G inertial navigation unit, for its Jobaria Defense Systems Multiple Cradle Launcher missile system. Poland is equipping a number of Army 155mm AHS Krab howitzers with the FIN3110.

Alastair Morrison, the senior vice president for radar and advanced targeting, said that “export markets are central to our business in the coming years, so these are particularly important programs.”
