Bell-Boeing has won a $23 million United States (US) Navy contract to support ongoing flight test and evaluation of the V-22 Osprey test military aircraft. Work will be performed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland (90 percent); and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2018

An unidentified drone used for a photo-shoot strayed into the flight path of Hindustan Aeronautics Rudra combat helicopter earlier this month. Two youths flying the drones were arrested for reportedly flying drones near HAL airport in Bangalore on Saturday evening as one of their drones partially obstructed the flight path of a combat helicopter at the facility, Bangalore Mirror reported Sunday
The South Korean Army has resumed operation of its Surion choppers on Monday, months after they were grounded following the crash of the MUH-1 marine variant of KUH-1 Surion helicopter in July. An MUH-1 Marineon crashed at a military airport in the southeastern city of Pohang on July 17, killing five of the six Marines aboard and injuring the other
