Alenia Aermacchi Begins C-27J Spartan Production For Peru
Alenia Aermacchi has begun production of the first medium transport aircraft C-27J Spartan for the Peruvian Air Force, with delivery scheduled for March 2015.
According to Defensa.com, Pilot Training Program and Technical Staff will begin in September this year and will run for six months.
In 2013, Peru acquired two C-27J Spartan for a total of $ 121.9 million. The delivery of the second aircraft is scheduled for April 2015, with an option of two additional aircrafts.
