Safran and Bharat Forge announced a long-term partnership to supply critical high integrity forged and machined components for Indian commercial aircraft applications to Safran’s global affiliates last week.
Over the past 18 months, Safran and Bharat Forge have worked on a demonstrator phase for initial trial production of critical forgings in a variety of materials; including titanium, nickel based and steel alloys, for aerospace. This success is the result of intensive engineering and manufacturing collaboration.
Both companies will also seek to explore and address other opportunities in Indian aerospace for civil and military sectors.
According to Stephane Lauret, CEO, Safran, “This latest development reflects our two companies’ commitment to expanding our collaboration for the benefit of our customers in India and abroad.”
