The Department of Defense released Saturday its revised Military Intelligence Program (MIP) request for the FY 2015 valued at $16.6 billion.

The total request includes both the base budget and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) appropriations.

This revision includes the MIP elements of the administration's amended FY 2015 OCO request that was submitted to Congress earlier this month.

The department determined that releasing this figure does not jeopardize any classified activities within the MIP. No other MIP budget figures or program details will be released, as they remain classified for national security reasons.
