India to issue RFP For Mirage Simulators And 100 Micro Light Aircraft

India will issue request for proposals (RFP) for Mirage application simulators and 100 micro-light aircraft for the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The Defense Acquisition Council meeting headed by defense minister Manohar Parrikar today made a decision to issue the RFPs.

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air Wing Flying Squadrons are equipped with Microlight aircraft for imparting flying training and instilling a sense of adventure amongst the Air Wing cadets.

There are presently 45 Microlight aircraft in 50 Air Squadrons of NCC.
