Lockheed Martin Wins $61 million contract For F-35 Logistics Services Support

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $61 million contract for recurring logistics services support for F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.

Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will provide ground maintenance activities; action request resolution; depot activation activities; Automatic Logistics Information System operations and maintenance; reliability, maintainability and health management implementation and support; supply chain management; and activities to provide and support pilot and maintainer initial training, the US Department of Defense announced Friday.

Work is expected to be completed in February 2016.

This contract combines purchases for the Air Force ($33 million); Marine Corps ($12 million); Navy ($9 million); and non-DoD participants ($5 million), the statement added.
