ASELSAN has completed a live-fire test of its YILDIRIM 100 Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) System, confirming the system’s ability to deflect infrared-guided missiles equipped with active warheads.
The YILDIRIM 100 system directed multi-band laser energy at incoming missile seekers, effectively neutralizing them mid-flight. The test demonstrated the system’s readiness to counter real-world missile threats in contested airspace, reinforcing ASELSAN’s role in enhancing the survivability of both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.
YILDIRIM 100 is equipped with a dual-turret design, advanced sensors, and a fully integrated control unit that communicates seamlessly with missile warning systems. Its multi-band laser technology allows the system to detect, track, and neutralize multiple threats simultaneously.
The system’s low power consumption and high operational readiness make it a mission-ready solution for modern aerial combat environments. Fully compatible with a range of platforms, YILDIRIM 100 is designed to protect against both current and emerging missile threats.
