Raytheon is being awarded $270 million for a modification to a previously awarded contract for Standard Missile-6 production and spares for the US Navy.

This contract modification brings the cumulative value of this contract to $573 million and is expected to be completed by April 2019 Pentagon said in a statement Friday.

Fiscal 2016 weapons procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $270 million will be obligated at time of award and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity, Pentagon said.
