Sikorsky Wins $42 Million US Army Contract For 36 Blackhawk helicopters

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp has won a $42 million contract from the US Army for the procurement of 36 Blackhawk helicopters.

The contract awarded is for 21 UH-60M Black Hawk and 15 HH-60M Medevac helicopters.

“Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Connecticut, was awarded a $42,281,000 modification (P00331) to contract W58RGZ-12-C-0008 to add fiscal 2017 advance procurement funding to the Blackhawk multi-year contract for the planned procurement of 21 Army UH-60M and 15 HH-60M aircraft,” the US Department of Defense announced Thursday.

Work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2018.
