CONTROP To Supply Long-Range Observation Systems (LOROS) for Indian Homeland Security
MEOS Modular Long-Range EO/IR Day/Night Observation System by CONTROP

CONTROP announced the sale of Long Range Observation Systems (LOROS) to be used as part of a security solution for critical sites in India.

The MEOS Modular Long-Range EO/IR Day/Night Observation System was procured by a large Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) for Indian Homeland Security (HLS) applications.  The MEOS System is a wide area, passive, real time 24/7 EO/IR observation system with panoramic scanning and automatic target detection capabilities, the company said in a statement Thursday.

The system includes a medium range or long ranges Thermal Imaging Camera with Continuous Zoom Lens and a medium range or a long range Day Camera as well as an optional Laser Range Finder (LRF).

A unique feature of the MEOS pan and tilt system is its open and modular configuration, allowing this portable observation system to be integrated with the specific cameras that best meet the HLS objectives.  The MEOS is easily deployable and can be installed on a tripod,a mast or on a fixed structure.

CONTROP's VP Marketing Mr. Johnny Carni added that "the MEOS modular EO/IR system is proven for border and coastal security as well as perimeter protection of critical sites including military bases, offshore oil/gas rigs and more".
