AM General To Supply 710 Humvee Vehicles To Afghanistan, Ukraine, US National Guard

AM General has won a US department of defense contract to supply 710 Humvee vehicles to Afghanistan, Ukraine and the United States National Guard.

The $151 million HMMWVs contracts cover new production vehicles, automotive kits, spare parts and training, the company announced Monday.

The company will supply 360 M1152A1B2 Humvee and 73 M1151A1B1 Humvee vehicles for Afghanistan. Similarly, Ukraine will receive 40 M1152 HMMWV Ambulances.

Furthermore, the company will deliver 237 additional M997A3 HMMWV Ambulance Vehicles for the US National Guard and Reserves.

The high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) is a tactical vehicle designed and produced to replace the US Army's current tactical vehicles in the 0.25t to 1.25t range. It is manufactured by AM General LLC at its Mishawaka industrial plant.
