Electric Boat Wins $176 Million For Attack Submarine Dry Docking
USS Montpelier Submarine

Electric Boat is being awarded two contracts totalling $176 million for the maintenance, repair, alterations, testing and routine work onboard USS Montpelier during its scheduled interim dry docking. 

The work is expected to be completed by March 2018. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds will be obligated at time of award and funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, the US department of defense said in a statement Wednesday.

The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Groton, Connecticut, is the contracting activity.
