Raytheon Wins $32M US Navy Standard Missile-6 Spares Contract
Raytheon is being awarded a $32 million modification contract for procurement of long-lead material in support of fiscal 2017 Standard Missile-6 full-rate production requirements and spares for the US Navy.
Work is expected to be completed by March 2020, US department of defense said in a statement on Wednesday.
SM-6 is a a central component of the US Navy’s Naval Integrated Fire Control and Counter Air mission, according to Raytheon published documents. It is compatible with all AEGIS missile defense systems and can be used to target warships, missiles and aircraft.
