North Korea has test-fired an inter-continental ballistic missile, Hwasong-15 capable of carrying super-large heavy warhead on Wednesday.

"The ICBM Hwasong-15 type weaponry system is an intercontinental ballistic rocket tipped with super-large heavy warhead which is capable of striking the whole mainland of the US,” North Korean news agency, KCNA announced Wednesday.

“Upon authorization of the Worker’s party of Korea (WPK) and the government of DPRK, the ICBM Hwasong-15 was launched at 02:48 local time on November 29 in the suburbs of Pyongyang, the statement read.

The ICBM made a 53 minute flight and accurately landed in the target waters set in open sea in the East sea of Korea, it stated.
