Iran Display Long-range Ballistic Missiles Capable Of Reaching Israel In Military Parade

Iran on Sunday unveiled long-range ballistic missiles that are capable of targeting Israel, during the military parade to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

According to Freebeacon, Iranian leaders showcased their ballistic missile capabilities which include a nuclear-capable medium-range missile that appears to share similarities with North Korean technology.

The nuclear-capable missile can strike Israel even when fired from Iranian territory, raising concerns about an impending conflict between Tehran and the Jewish state that could further inflame the region.

The parade that took place on February 11 in Tehran had two missiles of Qadr and Fajr 5 types on display, and the latest version of Iranian mlilitary’s short-range, anti-armor missiles, namely Toufan 2-M, FARS news reports.

“Qadr is a 2000km-range, liquid-fuel and ballistic missile which can reach territories as far as Israel,” the report claims.

The missile can carry different types of ‘Blast’ and ‘MRV’ (Multiple Reentry Vehicle) payloads to destroy a range of targets. The new version of Qadr H can be launched from mobile platforms or silos in different positions and can escape missile defense shields due to their radar-evading capability.

Fajr 5 is another home-made missile produced by the Iranian military experts used against short-range targets.

In addition, the parade had a model of Iran's new submarine named Fateh which weighs 500 tons on display and is passing its final tests to be used by the Iranian naval forces.
