Russia Unveils Kinzhal Air-launched Hypersonic Missile at Victory Parade

Russia has unveiled new military equipment including a new TTM 190-40s snowmobile equipped with a machine gun, Kinzhal air-launched hypersonic missile, in its annual Victory day parade on Red Square.

The Russian armed forces also showcased a surface-to-air missile system, Tor M2DT mounted on an all-terrain tracked vehicle. Other equipment on display included Uran-6 and Uran-9 unmanned combat vehicles and BMPT-72 Terminator tank equipped with close-quarters and anti-tank weapons, Telegraph reported Wednesday.

The snowmobiles can operate in temperatures as low as minus 58 degrees and can travel 40 miles per hour in a range of 300 miles. Kinzhal is a modification of the Iskander-M ballistic missile capable of traversing with supersonic speeds and can be launched by a MiG-31.

As part of the mechanized and tanks, the latest remote-controlled robotic strike complexes Platform-M, armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, T-72 tanks, large-caliber guns Hyacinth, self-propelled artillery systems Gvozdika, anti-aircraft missile systems C -400 missile systems, Bal and Bastion missile systems, Pantsir-C1 short-range anti-aircraft missile systems, Grad rocket launchers, Orlan unmanned aerial vehicles, multi-axle heavy tractors and other auto and armored vehicles were showcased. In total, the mechanized column included more than 60 units of military equipment, which is in service with the units and military units of the Baltic Fleet.
