Boeing has won a $20 million contract in support of the United States Navy’s T-45 aircraft Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).

The modification exercises an option for the production and delivery of SLEP retrofit kits and support equipment/special tooling, as well as retrofit engineering and logistics to support the installation of associated technical directives, the US Department of defense said in a statement Wednesday.

Work is expected to be complete in October 2019. T-45 is an advanced version of the British BAE Systems Hawk land-based training jet aircraft.
