S Korean LIG Nex1 Co, Indian Adani Sign MoU on Anti-aircraft System

South Korean firm LIG Nex1 and Indian enterprise Adani Group have signed a MoU on the production and marketing of the K-30 Biho anti-aircraft system.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of a one-day seminar in Delhi yesterday to promote defence industry cooperation between Seoul and New Delhi.

Around 170 government and industry officials from both sides attended the event, which also involved 12 Korean companies, including Hanwha Defense and Korea Aerospace Industries, according to the South Korean arms procurement agency, DAPA.

"The seminar served as a venue for the two countries to further boost mutually beneficial cooperation in the defense industry field," Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) chief Wang Jung-hong said.

The K-30 Biho 30mm Self-propelled Antiaircraft Gun can be equipped with the portable Surface-to-air Guided Missile, Chiron. The Integrated Antiaircraft Gun is capable of launching both guided missiles and anti-air missiles to cover broader range and offer flexible engagement capability and conduct of operation.
